Working from his studio in laid back Woodstock VT, he strives to find the perfect balance of motion and rigidity in a unique blend of sleek calligraphy inspired works with zero visable welds. His portfolio has a wide variety of styles that show a broad range of inspiration in different series, yet are easily identifiable as being from the same artist. He has been quoted as saying I love to explore different styles, from elegant to abstract graffiti. So many artists either have many different variations of designs that look the same, or no consistency. I feel that its the same with many rock bands on the radio. Some bands songs all kind of sound the same, but the legendary bands have a deep rooted consistency, yet every song is a completely new experience. I want all of my ...

Sylvia Volpi - PHILOSOPHY: To be an artist is to be creative, autonomous, conscious, bold... It is to dare and allow yourself the delirium, reach the imaginary, the fantasy, the pleasure, the beauty ... To wish for the real and to wish for the impossible. It's to open wide, through your work, desires, fights and sorrows in a disclosure. The creative process is the product of the hand , the mind, the imagination and of the work, which is motivated by the search for a conquer: THE CONSTRUCTION OF YOUR OWN SELF. ...

Then I decided to paint with just one color according to state of mood I am, after I meditate. The aluminum is folded before I put the color on. When the painting is hanging on the wall, the color change as the light is changing during the day, the shade accentuate the color and change them to deep, darker or lighter. It's fill the room with bright and clear energy. The colors I choose are from ...
Michael Leyton - In his MIT Press book, Symmetry, Causality, Mind (630pages) and his book in Springer-Verlag, A Generative Theory of Shape (550pages), Michael Leyton has elaborated an extensive theory of why art has such a powerful impact on the human mind. This results in an ability to intensify the content of artworks through an increased understanding of compositional organization, that Leyton has provided in his scientific work, which includes his mathematical foundations for geometry. For example, theorems of his, such as the Symmetry-Curvature Duality Theorem, which are now used in over 40 disciplines including many branches of medicine and engineering, also explain the human perceptual response to art-works. Not only has he demonstrated this in his lengthy published analyses of classical and modern artists, but he has also demonstrated that it is possible to surpass the intensity of these artists. This he has done by using the theory developed in his books in the creation of his own artworks - his paintings, his published architectural designs, and the published scores of his musical compositions. The portfolio at the present site is currently under construction. While this is in progress, the reader can gain an extensive introduction to Leyton's artistic ...
Stefan Van Der Ende - My sculptures are Solutions for Non/existing Problems . Now is the time to collect them. They are rare and unique ,and there are not many of them , also due to the big amount of time it takes to make the biggerones in wood and stone . They are made dreaming/thinking and working intensively , whith the intention to be able communicate emotion through their abstract/associative visual appearence which relate to subconcious processes in the human mind .(specialy mine ofcourse ) There are often more pictures of one sculpture , because ,as you know you have to see sculptures from more sides , to get a good impression .
Kim Wintje - For the past 20 years, I have been making sculpture. Incorporating many fabric techniques, I use recycled metal, wire, and paint, to create sewn metal sculptures about pollution, habitat loss, complacency, human rights, extinction, and many other environmental and political issues. My work has been part of collaborative shows, and one person exhibitions. I want my work to get into peoples psyches and keep them thinking about the images for days, weeks.... I feel that whenever people think and ultimately talk about ideas the world changes. I maintain a cyber gallery of my sculpture thanks to a NH State Council on the Arts, Individual Artist Fellowship received in 1998. I also take time every year to work as, artist in residence, in New Hampshires schools. In 1993, an accepted collaborative proposal submitted to Inez McDermott, then director of New England College Gallery, Henniker, NH, resulted in a significant change in my direction as an artist and the materials I use. The proposal gave me an opportunity to collaborate with another artist, to explore new materials, and to exhibit the years work at the gallery. The years exploration focused on the tradition of ritual art forms that had relevance to my ...
